Violin Teacher
Caitlin is an experienced violin teacher with a strong background in both music performance and theory. Her musical journey began at the age of 4, when she started learning the piano, and she picked up the violin four years later in 2012. In 2019, Caitlin earned her Associate in Music (AMusA) and achieved distinction in her AMEB Grade 6 Musicianship exam, underscoring her expertise in both practical performance and music theory. She also pursued music as a subject for the International Baccalaureate, further honing her skills in performance and music analysis. Throughout her career, Caitlin has been an active member of several orchestras, including the Monash Academy Orchestra, Monash Law String Orchestra, Australian Medical Students’ Orchestra, Melbourne Youth Orchestra, and various school ensembles, enriching her ensemble playing and expanding her musical repertoire.
As a teacher, Caitlin has worked with students of diverse backgrounds and skill levels, adapting her approach to each individual’s needs. She is dedicated to creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can refine their technical skills, deepen their understanding of music theory, and gain confidence in their musical expression. Caitlin’s commitment to her students’ growth ensures that they not only develop as musicians but also foster a lifelong love for music.
