Flute Teacher
Yuanyuan is a flautist with an extensive educational background in music. At the age of ten, she studied under Zhang Dongsheng (张东升老师), the head of the Inner Mongolia Symphony Orchestra, Vice President of the Inner Mongolia Song and Dance Theatre, and the Vice President of the Chinese Flute Association. After graduating from the National Academy of Arts, she was admitted to the Affiliated Middle School of the Inner Mongolia Academy of Arts at 14 years of age, during which time she studied with Zhu Tongde (朱同德老师), the former vice president of the Central Conservatory of Music. When she was 19, she was recommended to the School of Music at the Minzu University of China (中央民族大学音乐学院), where she studied with Wu Rigen (吴日根老师), the professor of flute and chamber music courses, as well as the vice president of the Chinese Musicians Association.
After graduating, Yuanyuan has dedicated herself to teaching the flute to her students. She assists her students in taking AMEB exams, works to improve their musical literacy, and pays attention to the details of music and musical expression in her classes. To inspire her students’ musical understanding, Yuanyuan works to caters her lesson individually, personally developing special methods and skills according to her students’ needs. It was through this careful mentorship that Yuanyuan has managed to guide her students to win the 3rd place prize at the VGF (Victorian Flute Guild) Ensemble Competition.
