Melinda is a dedicated and experienced piano teacher with over 20 years of teaching, performance, and accompaniment experience. She holds a Bachelor of Music and Arts (Psychology) and a Master of Music Studies (Performance/Teaching) from the University of Melbourne, combining a deep understanding of music with insights into learning and development.

From 2000 to 2019, she has offered private piano and theory lessons to students of all ages at Yamaha, while also working as a professional accompanist for exams, performances, and competitions. She has also worked as a group music teacher within the Yamaha system since 2015. Her approach blends structured, curriculum-based teaching with a personalised, student-focused style that nurtures confidence, musicality, and technical skill. Melinda is passionate about creating a positive, encouraging learning environment where students feel supported and inspired to reach their musical goals.
