With 40 years of experience in the music industry under her belt, Rebecca Lau is an experienced teacher who has a passion for learning more about the craft. Whether it be participating in music workshops and taking formalised training on how to become a better music teacher, or simply picking up new skills and insights from teaching at home, Rebecca knows that there is no end to what one can learn about music and strives to explore the musical arts together with her students.
Being an experienced educator of Piano and Theory, Rebecca has been known to be a patient and encouraging teacher, having been an instructor at “Yicha Music Studio” and Singapore’s “Florence Music School” for a combined 30+ years. During her tenure, she has had experience in helping students of all manner of proficiencies, from simple grades to the diploma level, prepare for examinations in the ABRSM (Associate Royal Schools of Music, UK) and Trinity College London curricula.
As she aspires to continue to help more students realise their dreams to excel in music, she has used her vast experience and polished her teaching methods to help her pupils earn distinction marks. Her eagerness to explore the musical arts clearly influences her students as well, as many have found themselves on the path of teaching as well, continuing the virtuous cycle of bringing the joy of music to the next generation.
